#YOUNGRESEARCHERSWH - Samereh Pourmoradian

Bloggers!! Welcome back! So good to see you again...and for those of you who have just arrived, thank you for the opportunity!

We are delighted to introduce you to Samereh Pourmoradian, a PhD researcher in the Department of Communication Studies of the University of Salzburg (Austria) who is working on Tourism and World Heritage in the context of her home country, Iran.

Besides being multilingual (She speaks English, Turkish and Persian), she is member of the Iranian National Commission for UNESCO. Samereh collaborates as well with the Cultural Heritage, Handicraft and Tourism Organization of East-Azerbaijan-Tabriz, the Municipality of Tabriz and the local University of Tabriz. As you probably imagine from this complete profile of collaborations, Samereh's PhD case is the Tabriz Historic Bazar Complex (Iran) and its tangible and intangible heritage, although she researches into the wider Iran's Cultural Heritage Tourism.

Tabriz Historic Bazar was designated as a World Heritage Site in 2009, and is one of the oldest Bazars in the world!

Authorship CC: Vathlu

We will be attentive to Samereh's results and follow her work through her social media! Don't miss them out!
